Terms of service

These terms apply to tree work performed by Oak & Limb Tree Service ("Oak & Limb", "we", "us") and to your use of this website. By booking work, approving an estimate, or paying a deposit, you agree to them.

We provide tree trimming and pruning, tree and limb removal, stump grinding, canopy and clearance work, and storm damage cleanup for residential and commercial property in Dallas, Texas and the surrounding suburbs. The exact scope for your property is whatever is written on your estimate.

The instant estimator on this site produces a ballpark range only. It is not a quote and it is not binding. Firm pricing comes from a written estimate after a crew lead inspects the trees on site.

A written estimate is valid for the period shown on it. If conditions change materially before work begins — additional storm damage, hidden decay, a different access route, or scope you add on the day — we will tell you before continuing and agree the revised price with you first.

We schedule in arrival windows rather than exact times, because tree work rarely finishes to the minute. High wind, lightning and saturated ground make climbing and rigging unsafe, so weather delays happen. If we have to move your job, we call you and reschedule to the next available slot at no extra cost.

• Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your window at no charge.
• Cancellations inside 24 hours, or a crew arriving to find the property inaccessible, may incur a trip charge covering crew and equipment mobilization.
• Booking deposits are applied to your final invoice. If we cancel the job, your deposit is refunded in full.

Unless your estimate says otherwise, payment is due on completion. Larger jobs may require a booking deposit before we schedule. We accept card payments through secure online checkout, plus cash and check on site. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.

Sales tax is applied where required by Texas law. Invoices unpaid after the terms shown on the estimate may accrue reasonable late charges and collection costs.

So the crew can work safely, please:

• Confirm you own the property or are authorized to approve the work, including any tree on or near a boundary line.
• Provide clear access to the work area, and move vehicles, patio furniture, planters, pet enclosures and anything fragile.
• Tell us about septic systems, sprinkler lines, invisible fences, low-voltage cable, drain fields and anything else buried that a truck or grinder could damage.
• Keep children and pets indoors while the crew is working.

Lawns and soft ground can rut when heavy equipment is used. We take reasonable care and will discuss access options with you, but normal turf impression from necessary equipment is not considered damage.

Some Dallas-area cities regulate the removal of protected or heritage trees, and many HOAs require approval before work. Unless we agree in writing to handle it, obtaining permits and HOA approval is the property owner's responsibility. We will tell you when we believe a permit is likely to be required.

We carry general liability and workers' compensation coverage for our crews. A certificate of insurance is available on request before work starts — just ask and we will send it to you or your HOA.

We are responsible for damage caused by our negligence. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, damage from underground utilities or systems that were not disclosed to us, damage caused by decay or structural failure discovered during the work, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Except where the law says otherwise, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the job in question.

Tree work cannot guarantee the future health or stability of a living tree. Pruning reduces risk; it does not eliminate it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of Dallas County, Texas. We would much rather talk it through first — call us.

We may update these terms. The version in effect for your job is the one published on the date your estimate was approved.
